NYSS 3yo Late Closer Payments Due June 21

The Agriculture & New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund would like to remind horsepeople that payments for New York Sire Stakes late-closing events for three-year-olds (racing this year) are due

Monday, June 21.

The payments are $300 for each three-year-old horsepeople wish to stake to the 2010 late closers series. Horses must be NYSS-eligible and non-winners of $28,000 in lifetime earnings (including the date of the second 2010 scheduled NYSS series race for each class of horse).

Payments are accepted in US funds in cheques or money orders and must be postmarked by June 21, 2010. To make your payment(s), please fill out the appropriate NYSS late closers entry form (there is a separate form for pacer and for trotter) and mail it with your payment to:

Please make cheques and money orders payable to Agriculture & New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund (ANYSHBDF).

The following race dates are the 2010 earnings limit cut-off dates for three-year-old late closers:

• Three-Year-Old Colt Trot on June 16, 2010
• Three-Year-Old Filly Trot on June 19, 2010
• Three-Year-Old Colt Pace on June 20, 2010
• Three-Year-Old Filly Pace on June 12, 2010
