Potential COVID-19 Exposure

Participants in Ontario's harness racing industry should be advised of possible exposure to COVID-19 at two Ontario racetracks.

Horsepeople who raced at Hanover Raceway on Saturday, June 19 and Saturday, June 26 and/or Clinton Raceway on Sunday, June 20 and 27 may be at risk of possible exposure to COVID-19.

Anyone in close contact with the Veterinary Technicians performing TCO2 and Retention Area (test barn) blood sample collection at those tracks on the dates listed above may have been exposed to COVID-19.

According to the province's guidelines, if you've been notified by your COVID Alert app, or think you've been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, individuals should follow these steps to take care of yourself and protect others.

  • Step 1: Get tested

  • Step 2: Stay home until you get your test results

  • Step 3: If your test is positive – self isolate and notify

  • Step 4: If your test is negative – stay safe and monitor.
