The catalog and past performances booklet for the Meadowlands Summer Mixed Sale are now available on the Tattersalls Sales Co. website, tattersallsredmile.com, and on the Equineline Sales Catalog app for the iPad.

The sale will be held Sunday, July 16 at noon, following a big night of racing that features the Meadowlands Pace and several other major stakes.

More than 110 horses are in the main catalog, and many more are expected to sell in the supplement for this “all-racehorse” sale that includes two-year-olds, three-year-olds and older horses.

“The racehorse market is healthy as ever, and I think the sale drew very well,” said manager David Reid. “Like our past sales, the vast majority of horses will race right up to sale day, so I remind buyers to keep an eye on the racelines booklet, which is updated frequently.”

Reid said the sale is especially strong on three-year-olds, with a number of stakes winners and fast, dependable money-makers in the book.

He said those include horses like Mr Varsity p,3,1:50, who won by four lengths at the Meadowlands on June 24 in 1:50 flat. Others like PA Stallion Series winner Puff Magic Dragon p,3,1:54.2f, Mac Attack p,3,1:52.1f, Amateur Hour p,3,1:51.4f and the trotter Hes Gone 3,1:55.1 also stand out.

“We’re also solid on older horses, like JJ Flynn (p,4,1:50.3f), who just won his last start. The pacer Guantanamo Bay (p,4,1:51.2f) and trotter In Secret (4,1:54.1) have both been racing in the Open Handicaps at Yonkers, and Maxdaddy Blue Chip (p,1:49.3f) is an open winner at Tioga.”

There are also 20 two-year-olds cataloged--several that have baby raced and others set to go--by top commercial sires like Somebeachsomewhere.

Recent Tattersalls mixed sale graduates have been tremendously successful this year for their new owners. Those are led by World Champion Dr J Hanover, season’s record-setter Rock N Roll World, Levy leg winner Missile J and PASS winner Summer Side.
