Hanover’s Survivor Challenge Details

Officials with Hanover Raceway have released some of the details regarding the third annual Country 93 Survivor Contest, which is free and is set to kick off this Saturday (July 2).

The track’s general manager, Gord Dougan, has said that fans will be asked to pick a horse in each of four races on their ballot and then hand it in before the start of Race 4. If all four of their horses finish in the money (first, second or third) they will qualify for the Survivor finale, which will take place on Saturday, August 6.

First prize is a 50-inch high def TV, courtesy of Country 93 and HDTV in Hanover and Walkerton.

Dougan has said that the contest creates a lot of excitement among the fans, and they are always curious to see how many qualify each week.

The qualifying rounds will last until July 23. Fans can qualify more than once for the final.

First-race post time this Saturday night is at 7:15 p.m.
