Monticello Schedule Changes

Besides its usual Monday through Thursday, four-day-a-week schedule, during the month of July Monticello Raceway will add live cards of racing on Saturday, July 3 and the Sundays of July 18 and July 25.

First-race post times will continue at 12:50 p.m. with just one exception. On Saturday, July 4, Monticello will stage its 41st annual Fireworks Extravaganza after the races. First-race post time that evening will be at 7:30 p.m.

On the Sunday afternoons of July 18 and July 25, the 19th annual Ms. Monticello Raceway Beauty Pageant will be presented between the races on the track’s stage, which will be set-up on the apron.

“The fireworks will be presented approximately 15 minutes after the racing program ends on Saturday night, July 3rd,” said Shawn Wiles, Monticello Raceway Assistant General Manager. “And since there is free admission to the entire facility it’s a great opportunity to come and see the fireworks close-up on the tracks apron where the best view is afforded.”

Then annual Beauty Pageant is once again sponsored by Larry Roman, and the pageant will get underway at 12:30 p.m. on both Sundays.
