Kawartha Downs is getting set to host a pair of big events in the coming weeks, including the Think Pink Night at the Races in addition to the track’s 39th Anniversary Night
at the Races.
The annual Think Pink Night at the Races in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation will take place on Saturday, July 9. There will be a variety of events that evening including live music, a silent auction, prize draws and more with all proceeds to the CBCF. Kawartha Downs will match each dollar raised during the fundraiser.
Kawartha Downs will host its 39th Anniversary Night at the Races on Saturday, July 23. It will be an evening dedicated to entire family with special pricing on food and drink in addition to live entertainment, a kids zone, a petting zoo, a complimentary gift to the first 500 patrons and much more.
That night’s card of racing will feature OSS Grassroots divisions for two-year-old filly trotters plus the $50,000 Anniversary Pace - an open event for horses and geldings ages three and up. Horsemen are reminded a $500 nominating fee to that event is due July 9.
