Grand River Raceway’s Fun & Frivolity Friday Nights kick off on July 3 with the fourth annual Powder Puff Night, a celebration of girl power

The evening begins with a special pre-race presentation in the Captain’s Quarters by guest speaker Donna Schmidt-Kirk. Donna is the owner of Expressions Modeling and Talent Agency and a fashion contributor to CTV. Her fun and informative 40 minute seminar will show guests how to dress for success for their body type and solve their wardrobe woes.
Powder Puff Night also features a leg of the Mildred Williams International Ladies’ Driving Series (MWDS) and a fabulous Penny Auction to benefit the Ontario Breast Screening Program at Groves Memorial Hospital.
The return of Fun & Frivolity Friday Nights on the Tarmac Show will see the start of a new season of Bouncy Pony Stakes, plus weekly Horse Meet & Greet photo sessions. Plus kids are always welcome out on the tarmac for coloring, crafts and sidewalk chalk wonderfulness.
Tickets are $35, including Donna’s “What Not To Wear” presentation, dinner, race program, $2 betting voucher and all meal taxes and gratuities. One lucky lady will also win a diamond pendant compliments of Frank’s Jewellers in uptown Waterloo.
