On Monday (June 24), two-year-old pacing fillies will visit Monticello Raceway for the New York Sire Stakes.

For the majority of the entries this will mark their first pari-mutuel start. Four divisions of Sire Stakes will be contested, three with a purse of $26,500, the other for $27,000. In addition there will be two $15,000 heats of the Excelsior A and a lone $6,800 heat of the Excelsior B.

In the $27,000 first division, Hidden Cove will start from post three for the Erv Miller stable. The daughter of American Ideal-Sun N Sand won her second qualifier in 1:56. Marcus Miller will drive.

Bolt Of Speed (Matt Kakaley) has also been impressive thus far in her young career for trainer Scott DiDomenico. The Bolt The Duer-Winbak Speedi lass was a winner in her first qualifier in 1:56.3 and followed it up with a second-place finish the following week.

In race seven, the $26,500 second division of Sire Stakes, Fashion Hill has been installed as the 5-2 morning line favourite after her last start where the American Ideal-Taxi Fare Hanover filly cut the mile to win in 1:55.2 for trainer Robert Cleary and owner Tom Hill. Andy McCarthy gets the drive.

Dexter Dunn will visit Monticello Raceway for the first time in his career as he will drive Turnthefrownaround. The daughter of Roll With Joe-Knockout Pout will start from post position five for trainer Chris Ryder. She finished second to Fashion Hill last week in a qualifier.

Sugaronthebeach (Roll With Joe-Somenicebeach) will start from post two. She is owned by Crawford Farms Racing, trained by John Butenschoen and will be driven by Jason Bartlett. Sugaronthebeach finished second her last start out in a qualifier at Harrahs’s Philadelphia, pacing her mile in 1:58.2.

Bolt Of Beauty (post three) leads the field in the $26,500 third division for trainer Erv Miller and driver Marcus Miller. The daughter of Bolt The Duer-Natural Luck won both of her qualifiers, the most recent effort coming at Harrah’s Philadelphia where she scored in 1:56.1.

Roll With Amy (Corey Callahan) is the second choice. The daughter of Roll With Joe-Balasun will start from post two for trainer John Butenschoen. She is coming off a qualifying win at Harrah’s Philadelphia in 1:57.2.

The $26,500 final dash has four fillies that have already crossed the wire first in qualifiers. Cash Roll also has a pari-mutuel win to her credit at Harrington Raceway, in 1:56.4. Richard Ringler trains the daughter of Roll With Joe-Rockonomics and she will start from post six with Jim Morrill Jr. in the bike.

Racine Bell (So Surreal-Tys Artist) is trained by David Dewhurst for owners Chris and Dale Lawton. She earned a speed badge of 1:56.1 at Vernon Downs on June 7. Jason Bartlett will drive and they will start from the rail.

Post time for the nine-race card is 12:50 p.m.
