Details have been announced for the second annual Youth Camp Day at the St. John's Racing Entertainment Centre. And yes, the ever-popular Willie Win will be
making an appearance.
The event will be taking place Saturday, June 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the stable area. The event is free and open to kids of all ages. Reigning National Driving Champion Brad Forward will be making a special guest appearance.
The youth camp was developed as an interactive day for kids of all ages to get up close and personal with horses. The youth camp offers a hands-on experience with learning about safety around horses; basic grooming skills; how to clean a stall; parts of the horse; feeding and nutrition; history of harness racing; harnessing a standardbred and much more!
There will be face painting, pony rides, and free t-shirts and giveaways. Lunch will also be provided.
