Marty Irby, executive director of Animal Wellness Action, is this week's guest on the Harness Racing Alumni Show.
Irby, whose expert opinion on Bob Baffert's recent drug violation issues with Medina Spirit was sought by major news media outlets, discusses efforts made in Congress by Representatives Troy Carter (D-La.), John Katko (R-N.Y.) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) about recently proposed legislation that would end the transportation of horses for the purpose of slaughter. Supporters of the bill amendment include The Meadowlands, Crawford Farms, Dr. Patty Hogan, SRF, and the Harness Racing Alumni Show.
