Officials with Hanover Raceway have announced some of the details surrounding ‘Pepsi Night,’ which will take place this Saturday evening at the half-mile oval.
On Saturday, Pepsi will be providing Hanover’s racing fans with up to $2,000 in prizes. Among the items up for grabs will be backyard patio furniture and a BBQ.
Hanover’s Coach House restaurant opened on Monday and will host its first hip of beef buffet Saturday night, which was always popular in the previous restaurant location. Patrons will enjoy the new dining experience which will include a full menu as well as daily specials.
The track’s general manager, Gord Dougan, has said that if all goes well, the track’s simulcast will also re-open in its new location on the newly-expanded Hanover slots floor this weekend. The expansion includes 63 new games, including roulette and blackjack, as well as a simulcast area on the gaming floor.
There will be an extra treat for Hanover fans on Saturday, as the Miniature Horses will return. The 'minis' will trot for one quarter mile around the Hanover oval. The event has been a fan favourite over the past several years.
First-race post time on Saturday night is 7:15 pm.
