Slots Cup Series Set To Kick Off

The 2009 Slots Cup Series kicks off at Western Fair Raceway on June 26 in the first of four qualifying legs heading into the $100,000 final

Five Ontario tracks and their Ontario Lottery & Gaming (OLG) counterparts will present the second running of the series for Ontario-sired pacers. The venture also includes an exciting promotional component in cooperation with the OLG Slots.

The Slots Cup Series spans June 26 through August 30 and includes four legs to be raced at Western Fair Raceway, Hanover Raceway, Clinton Raceway, and Grand River Raceway. The top money-earners from the $12,000 qualifying legs will advance to the $100,000 final at Hiawatha Horse Park on September 12.

The Slots Cup Series is for Ontario-sired pacers, ages four and under, who are non-winners of $75,000 lifetime as of midnight February 15/09. A total of 28 horses are eligible to the series.

Each qualifying leg of the Slots Cup Series will be supported by a promotional campaign coordinated by participating tracks and the OLG Slots. The Slots Cup Of Cash contest will include four weeks of contesting to determine the Grand Prize winners at each site.

The Grand Prize winners will receive a Grand Finale Slots Cup Prize Package which includes limo transportation and overnight accommodations for four to the Slots Cup Series Final at Hiawatha Horse Park . Finalists from each participating track will vie for a $4,000 Grand Prize as they are matched with a horse in the Slots Cup Series Final.
