Dirt Track Momma will look to keep her three-race win streak alive as she faces off with the region’s top mares Thursday night at Red Shores' Charlottetown Driving Park.
First-race post time is 7:00 p.m., with the $2,200 Open Mares event carded as Race 11.
The main competition for Dirt Track Momma (PP3, Marc Campbell) appears to be two spots to her left and two spots to her right, with Bunny Mach (to be driven by Jason Hughes) in Post 1 and General Lucky Percy (Brodie MacPhee) in Post 5.
Other entries in the eight-horse affair include Too Ideal (Brian Andrew), JK Special (Walter Cheverie), Doober Hoozzitz (Terry Gallant), Mylittlerebel (Mark Bradley), and Private Joke (Gary Chappell).
The evening’s trotting event has been carded as Race 4. The veteran Saulsbrook Balance (PP7, Willie Murphy) has been given the nod as the morning-line favourite. Other notables include newcomer Abundaspin (Harold Shepherd) and Duvar Road (Norman Myers).
Camcun is picked to win the Race 12 back-up pace for trainer-driver and co-owner Kenny Arsenault and co-owner Dan Belliveau. Other top picks in the $1,550 contest include Ebandtheboys (Cheverie) and Stimulus Bill (Campbell).
After Thursday, lives racing at the CDP will continue Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. Red Shores' live racing will then shift to Summerside Raceway on Sunday, where the track will kick off its program with a 1:00 p.m. first-race post time.
