Dresden Raceway has announced that it has added an incentive for trainers to enter their horses at Dresden Raceway, effective this coming Sunday (June 14).
Dresden Raceway has partnered with After Hours Automotive in Sarnia to offer draws for every non-stakes overnight race that has at least seven horses.
Every race that has seven horses will have a random draw for either a $50 gas card or a $50 Visa gift card, and each race that has eight horses will have a draw for either a $100 gas card or $100 Visa gift card.
Horse owner Steward McQueen, who is also the owner of After Hours Automotive in Sarnia, is hoping the move helps draw horses to Dresden.
“Dresden Raceway is pleased to partner with After Hours and Stew,” said track publicist Gary Patterson, who added, "he is smart businessman who loves racing and wants to see tracks like Dresden live up to their potential.
“The goal is to try and fill all the races with eight-horse fields, and hopefully trainers will see this as added incentive to come to Dresden Raceway.”
Dresden is also debuting its new-look graphics package on Sunday, as well as its pre-race show.
First-race post time is set for 1:00 p.m.
