On Friday, May 6, United States Trotting Association Executive Vice President Mike Tanner announced that Ellen Harvey, currently executive director of Harness Racing Communications, will take on the additional task of

coordinating the USTA’s programs for horses no longer able to race or serve as bloodstock.

Harvey will add the title of Coordinator of Standardbred Support Programs, thus helping to administer the Support Our Standardbreds program for legally-seized, surrendered or abandoned horses; the Full Circle Program, designed to help connect past connections with a horse in need of assistance; and the Pleasure Registration conversion, which allows an owner to ensure a horse is no longer able to race or have registered progeny.

The change is effective immediately.

To reach Ellen Harvey for more information about any of these programs, call 732-780-3700 or email [email protected].
