In preparation for the 2022 harness racing season, Clinton Raceway will offer qualifiers and schoolers on Sunday, May 15 at 11 a.m. Training is also available at the track seven days per week from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
A new condition will be added to Clinton Raceway’s condition sheet for the start of the 2022 season. The popular Seniors Pace will now be offered in two classes. The first class being offered is for 11-year-olds and up that are non-winners of $5,000 (F&M $6,250) in 2022 and the second class is for 11-year-olds and up that are non-winners of $10,000 (F&M $12,500) in 2022. Earnings will be based on money earned prior to May 1, 2022.
“The Seniors Pace has been a very popular class at Western Fair throughout the fall months,” said Stacey Smith, Assistant Race Secretary. “So we wanted to offer a spot for these older horses to race throughout the summer.”
Clinton Raceway’s live harness racing season is slated to begin on May 22, with a 1:30 p.m. post time. The season is highlighted by Legends Day on June 12, as well as the $50,000 Kin Pace, Annual Driver’s Challenge and multiple Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots events.
