Dresden Raceway is ready to kick off another great season of harness racing action this Sunday with nine exciting races.
The 11-card season at Dresden will mark the 147th year that Dresden Raceway has shared the sport of harness racing with the public, a tradition that dates back to farmers racing for bragging rights after church.
Dresden Raceway saw an almost 50 per cent lift in purses and attendance last season thanks to some added giveaways and a renewed family atmosphere at the track.
Dresden Agricultural Society President Lucille Laprise is looking forward to a good season.
“We are hoping to build off last season’s success and are looking forward to some great racing and providing some great family entertainment,” she said.
Race fans get the opportunity to win lots of prizes with several contests and giveaways.
Post time for the nine-race card is set for 1 p.m.
