The Sudbury Downs race office has announced that due to a lack of entries for this Sunday afternoon's program, the entry box will remain open until Wednesday morning (May 29) at 10:00.

In addition, Sudbury also reports that entries for 2013 Baby To Boomer Stake closes midnight Friday, May 31.

The pacing event --- for horses five years of age and younger that are non-winners of one race or $7,500 lifetime --- will be contested in elimination heats on Sunday, June 9. Each heat will race for a purse of $6,500. The final will be contested the following Sunday for a purse of $20,000 (added).

Nomination forms are available on the sudburydowns.com website.

Also, the Northern Horsemen Association has announced that with the light entry box for the Sudbury Downs season opener, the NHA is offering assistance to trainers that ship horses in for the first card of the 2013 season.

Interested parties should call NHA President Robert Bodkin at 1-705-698-7814.
