The stage is set for what is likely the most highly anticipated $4,000 claiming race in the history of horse racing. It will be the 10th and final race on Wednesday night (May 20) at the Isle Casino Pompano Park, with a $202,965 carryover into the 20-Cent Super Hi-Five, featuring a mandatory payout.
Estimated post time is 10:40 p.m. The tenth race will feature a group of 11 pacers, with numbers 10 & 11 starting from the second tier. Both ‘Also Eligibles’ (12 & 13) have been officially scratched.
The large field and competitive nature of the group could yield a large return to patrons involved in the Hi-Five wager. It will be the largest pool in the 51-year history of the South Florida harness track, with estimates ranging all over the board for a total pool figure.
