Eldorado Scioto Downs will once again have qualifiers available on RTN for the 2025 racing season.
With 16 qualifiers going postward, all with eight or nine horse fields, Scioto’s brand new 16 race paddock will get a full workout on Friday, May 2.
“We will have a ribbon cutting for the new paddock at 11:30 a.m. when the first horse goes in for qualifiers,” said Jason Roth, Scioto’s Director of Racing. “We’re excited to get our racing season started, and our horsemen are too, considering how many horses filled the box for qualifiers.”
Kicking off the 2025 season, there are many notable and recognizable horses entered to qualify, including: Scioto favorite Gold Digger King (Scott Mogan, trainer), two- and three-year-old Ohio Sires Stakes champion Sugar Instead (Virgil Morgan, Jr.), Buckeye Stallion Series champion Twin B High Tide (Alicia Hanners), pinto OHSS contender Extra Suds (Morgan), 2024 #SendItIn winner Seafire (Brian Brown) and two-year-old filly Ohio Sires Stakes champion Odds On Hialeah (Morgan).
The next scheduled day of qualifiers will be Tuesday, May 6, with a first post of 11 a.m. Qualifiers will then continue to be held on Tuesdays with a typical first post of 3:45 p.m. before the evening’s races. To accommodate the two-year-olds getting ready for the summer season, qualifiers will move to 11 a.m. on Monday, June 9 until July.
Qualifiers are available on RTN through streaming services, such as Roku, Amazon FireStick and online at rtn.tv. Program pages are also available on the Scioto Downs website.
The 90-day 2025 Eldorado Scioto Downs race meet will open on Thursday, May 8 and conclude on Saturday, September 13.
