The 2021 Empire Breeders Classic (EBC) trotting stake at Vernon Downs will be raced on Friday, June 18.
There will be no eliminations for the EBC trot or pace (pacers race on Sunday, August 29 at Tioga Downs) the stakes will go as a single dash. Should more than 10 declare, the stakes will be raced in divisions with the purse split equally and the entry fee divided accordingly.
Tioga and Vernon Downs, hosts of the Empire Breeders Classic, recognize and appreciate the support of our partners, the Agriculture and New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund and stallion owners in New York, toward the funding and presentation of these events.
The EBC has provided nearly $14 million in purses to New York sired trotters and pacers since its inception in 2007.
Vernon Downs is currently doing a double draw for Friday and Saturday on Mondays with a box close of 9:00 a.m. Check the condition sheet for exact entry information and electronic entry is encouraged.
