Northside Downs Track Announcer Shane Ryan is excited about the raceway's upcoming 31-date meeting, and he taken to the mainstream press to get the word out there

In a preview note by the Cape Breton Post, Ryan has said that the track is looking to ride the momentum, which was built up last season.
“We had some really good crowds out for the qualifying races, which is not something you expect,” he was quoted as saying. “We expect kind of the same from last year with the Saturday afternoons. We have really good fan support and the wager was pretty solid for the year.”
Among the highlights of the season are Atlantic Sire Stakes races. This year’s dates are July 7, July 21, August 2 and September 22. Another big race, the J.A. Ferguson Memorial Pace, is slated for September 22.
