Horseman Edward 'Ed' Weeks of Belleville, Ont. passed away peacefully at the Belleville General Hospital with family by his side on Thursday, May 12. He was in his 66th year

Ed, who was an employee of Wilson Sports for over 30 years, is the son of the late George and Dorothy Weeks. Beloved husband of 46 years to Shirley Weeks (nee Nokes). Loving father of Katherine (Greg) Latchford of Foxboro, Corry (Sean) Gray of Belleville and David (Susan) Weeks of BC.
He is survived by his sisters Dorothy (late John) Lensen, Barbara (Allan) Wood, Jeannette Weeks, his brothers John (Shirley) and Ken (Donna) Weeks. Predeceased by his brothers George and Billy Weeks. Ever remembered by his grandchildren Austin, Justin, Liam, Brad, Nate, Alanna and Dorian. Cherished brother in law to Doris Kleist, Joyce (Lew) Llewellen, Mildred (late Ed) Berard, Marilyn (Frank) Harper, Charles Nokes, Ken (Norma) Nokes and the late Lois, Lorne and John Nokes. Ed will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great great niece. Fondly remembered by his 'best buddy' Tigger.
A Celebration of Weeks' life will take place at College Hill United Church on Saturday, May 28 at 11:30 a.m. (with visitation from 10:00-11:30 a.m.). Cremation.
