The Jackpot Hi 5 wager has been the talk of the Ontario handicapping scene as of late and many horseplayers have been looking forward to the Saturday, May 17 card of harness racing.
The Jackpot Hi-5, which became a part of Woodbine's Standardbred nightly betting menu in October, currently offers a carryover pool of $656,386.93. A mandatory payout of the carryover will take place on Saturday evening in the 12th race. An 11-horse has been carded as the finale with a 11:05 p.m. approximate post time.
The Jackpot Hi-5 requires horseplayers to select the first five finishers in exact order on the last race of the program.
The wager, which offers a 20-cent minimum, also has a takeout of 15 per cent, a continent-equalling low.
Woodbine's final winter/spring card is Monday, May 19, before racing shifts to Mohawk Racetrack, beginning on Thursday, May 22.
