The Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey is proud to announce purse increases to the Garden State Trot races this Saturday, May 17 at The Meadowlands.
With 12 fillies entered, two $40,000 USD divisions will be contested. This total reflects an increase of $20,000 USD from the original estimate of $60,000 USD for one division.
The 17 colts entered will race in two divisions totaling $115,000 USD. One division will race for $55,000 USD and the other for $60,000 USD. With the added number of entries, the purse was increased from the original advertised amount of $60,000 USD for one division.
This year’s purse increases are supported by the additional money received from the New Jersey State Appropriation. The SBOANJ "is pleased for the increased interest in this year's Garden State Trot and looking forward to continued participation in all SBOANJ sponsored races."
