The Quebec Jockey Club has debuted a new logo for the province's only full-time pari-mutuel racetrack, Hippodrome 3R.
“This is all part of our desire to rebrand racing at Hippodrome 3R,” said Murielle Thomassin, General Manager of the track. “The Quebec Jockey Club is working hard to drive more interest towards harness racing in the province and via simulcasting throughout North America.
“The credit must go to Oliver Lemieux, who is our marketing director at the Quebec Jockey Club,” Thomassin said. “He is the one who has overseen the design of the new logo. We are working on more changes everyone will see shortly, including the installing of the HDTV camera and fiber-optic cabling for much better viewing of our race programs.”
“The new brand look is one of the first steps in order to better market the Hippodrome to new customers,” stated Lemieux. “The new brand will maximize marketing and advertising initiatives to get a bigger piece of the Québec province's Touristic and Sports industries. The Hippodrome's team, under Murielle Thomassin's leadership, is dedicated to find ways to better explain the sport to newcomers.”
