Have you ever had that itch to get in the game? Own a horse? But don’t know where to start? Clinton Raceway has the answer. On opening day, this Sunday (May 21) the track will be giving fans the chance to win a share of a racehorse, valued at $1,000.
The Stable (thestable.ca) will be on hand to answer questions regarding fractional ownership, and Clinton Raceway will be drawing one winner from all eligible entries that day to choose their race horse from The Stable.
"Clinton Raceway represents the very fabric of horse racing. Small town tracks are where harness racing began, and thestable.ca is very exited to partner with not just Clinton Raceway and its patrons but the town of Clinton itself,” The Stable’s Anthony MacDonald noted.
“Achieving an affordable entry point into horse racing for owners while maximizing their excitement and exposure is exactly why the thestable.ca was started,” MacDonald explained.
Trackside fundraisers are back this season at the Huron County oval, as Central Huron Secondary School in Clinton will host a BBQ, bake sale, silent auction and 50/50 during the live ten-race card. Two-dollar t-shirts will be available on a first come first serve basis – it wouldn’t be an opening day in Clinton without them.
The Super Sunday show will makes its return with all new games, prizes and fun to keep patrons entertained between the races all summer long. “We’re really excited to get back and provide the great experience our fans have come to enjoy,” stated the track’s marketing manager, Jessica Carnochan. “It really is a great Sunday afternoon for the entire family.”
Live race post time for opening day is 1:30 p.m. on Sunday May 21.
