Scioto Announces 2019 Draw Schedule

Eldorado Scioto Downs’ 2019 racing season is approaching, and it is to be noted that the track’s racing schedule will feature a change compared to previous years.

Scioto Downs will host matinee races on Tuesdays with a post time of 2 p.m. and continue with its traditional 6:30 p.m. post time on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The track’s first qualifying session is scheduled for Thursday (May 2) at 10 a.m. Qualifiers will be regularly scheduled on Tuesdays starting on May 7 at 12 p.m. until further notice.

Horsepeople are reminded that any horse that is entered must have a current coggins within one year.

The condition sheets for the first full week of racing are available online.

Horsepeople should also pay close attention to the draw schedule, as it has changed from previous years. The entry box will close on Wednesday (May 1) at 9 a.m. for the Tuesday (May 7) racing card.

The draw schedule for the 2019 racing season appears below.

• Tuesday for Friday and Saturday – box closes at 9 a.m.
(board clears on Wednesday for both Friday and Saturday)

• Wednesday for Tuesday – box closes at 9 a.m.
(board clears on Thursday for Tuesday)

• Thursday for Wednesday – box closes at 9 a.m.
(board clears on Friday for Wednesday)

• Friday for Thursday – box closes at 9 a.m.
(board clears on Tuesday for Thursday)

Scioto Downs will be racing for more than $15 million in purses for the 2019 racing season.
