Harrah's Hoosier Park is set to kick off its first four-day week of live harness racing, with Saturdays added to its weekly race day schedule beginning in May.

The week of racing at Hoosier Park gets started on Wednesday, April 29 with a 14-race program set to get underway at 5:30 p.m. There will be a $2,355 carryover in the Early Pick 5 (Races 1-5), with that pool guaranteed at $15,000 USD. The Wednesday night program will also offer the traditional $10,000 USD guarantees in the Late Pick 4 (Races 11-14) and Late Hoosier High 5 (Race 14) done in partnership with the United States Trotting Association's Strategic Wagering program. Free online programs for the Wednesday card are available on the Hoosier Park website in the racing section, along with complimentary access to Hoosier Park race replays.

Racing will now take place on a Wednesday through Saturday schedule. The first Saturday (May 2) will feature a host of Derby Day festivities along with simulcasting of all the action from Louisville, Kentucky. The Harrah's Hoosier Park Hat Contest will take place at 4 p.m. on the Terrace Showroom Stage, with registration available for the event from 3-4 p.m. in front of Trackside Promotions & Events next to the Program Stand.

There will also be $5,000 USD MegaBet drawings for The Derby. Beginning at 11 a.m., guests may swipe at a Trackside Promotional Kiosk to receive their entry before depositing at the drawing drum located at Trackside Promotions & Events. Five winners will be selected at 6 p.m. to place a $1,000 USD MegaBet on The Derby. Guests will have five minutes to claim; redraws will take place every five minutes until the start of The Derby for unclaimed prizes. Second chance drawings will take place for Hoosier races where five winners will be selected to place a $100 USD MegaBet on any horse of their choosing on a remaining Hoosier race at 7:30 p.m. Hoosier racing will commence with its traditional post time of 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 2.
