Due to severe weather throughout the month of April, management at the Québec Jockey Club has postponed opening day at Hippodrome 3R from this Sunday (April 28) to May 5.
“This is the second straight year that Mother Nature has forced us to postpone opening day at H3R,” Said Murielle Thomassin, Director of Racing at Hippodrome 3R. “It seems she does not want us to race in April. The weather has been horrendous and we could not start any qualifying races until last week. Hopefully we will be fine for next Sunday.”
An additional race program will be added to the schedule later this season.
The new post time for opening day (May 5) is 1 p.m. This season, H3R will also have live racing on Friday evenings starting May 24 with a 7 p.m. post time.
