Trot Insider has learned that a celebration of life has been arranged for Al Aikin of Angus, Ont., who passed away peacefully on Friday, January 11 at the age of 77 after a long battle with diabetes.
Aikin was a longtime harness racing industry participant, most recognized through his operation of the paddock kitchens at both Barrie Raceway and Georgian Downs.
Al will be sorely missed by his many friends.
A celebration of Al's life will take place on Sunday, May 26 in the main mutuel area at Georgian Downs from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
