Dorothy Wyse Passes

Trot Insider has learned that horse owner and racing family matriarch Dorothy Wyse passed away peacefully after a very brave and lengthy battle with cancer at the Juravinski Cancer Clinic on Saturday, April 23, 2011 around 3:00 a.m.

Beloved wife of the late George Leslie Wyse (1975), Dorothy is survived by daughters Donna Wyse (David Lamont) of Airdrie, Alberta; Kathy Edwards (Phil) of Windsor, Ontario; Carol Hurley of Calgary, Alberta, and chosen son David Gibson of Cavan, Ontario. Fondly remembered by five grandchildren -- including David Edwards -- and two great grandchildren. Dear sister of Doreen Hobbs (John) of Oakville, Ontario and their families.

Predeceased by her parents Harry and Winnifred Anderson.

Friends will be received at the Kitching, Steepe & Ludwig Funeral Home, 146 Mill St., N., Waterdown, Ont. tonight (Monday, April 25) from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., and Tuesday, April 26 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7-:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Strabane Cemetery.
