It has been announced that a new stakes series for four-year-olds is scheduled to debut at the Red Mile in 2022.
EquineX North America Corp. has released details of its inaugural EquineX Championship Racing Series. The series is for four-year-old trotters and four-year-old pacers, and will be hosted by the Red Mile in the fall of 2022.
The inaugural EquineX Championship Racing Series will feature four divisions (mare trot, mare pace, horse/gelding trot, horse/gelding pace). It has been announced that each division will feature a purse of $200,000 (USD).
According to a press release from EquineX, no stakes payments or supplementary entries are needed in order for the horses to be eligible, although each horse must be registered with a new subscription-based product that is being offered by EquineX. For additional details, visit equinex.com.
Additionally, EquineX has announced that it has set up a special fund for those in the racing industry most severely affected by COVID-19, and will donate 20 per cent of its revenue from subscriptions for its inaugural racing series.
