The Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey is proud to announce a new award program for breeders to be effective immediately.
This new program has been made possible by the passage of legislation appropriating $10 million to the Standardbred industry each year. Of the $10 million, $600,000 is earmarked for breeders awards.
This program will award the breeders of horses which earn purse money in the eliminations and finals of the following races starting in 2019:
• New Jersey Sire Stakes Premier Division
• New Jersey Sire Stakes Standardbred Development Fund
• Renaissance Pace
• New Jersey Futurity
• Garden State Trot
• Home Grown Pace
Payments equal to 15 per cent of purses earned will be made to breeders approximately 30 days after the running of each race.
