Longtime Standardbred owner Richard Berthiaume of Pointe-aux-Trembles, Que. passed away at l’Hôpital Pierre Le Gardeur on April 3, 2026, at the age of 80.
He leaves to mourn his partner, Carmen Bonin; his children, Jonathan and Jade, and their mother, Cécile Tondreau; his grandchildren, Naomie, Milan, Yohan and Diego; his partner's children; his sisters, Nicole, Cécile and Mireille; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his children, Karie and Hugo.
Condolences will be received at Mausolée St-Martin (at the rear of the first building), located at 2159 St-Martin Boulevard East in Laval, Que., on Friday, April 17, from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. A ceremony will follow at 5:30 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made through a donation to l’Association pulmonaire du Québec in his memory.
