The Delaware Valley Chapter of the United States Harness Writers Association (USHWA) is willing to assist a Delaware Valley journalism student in attending the Clyde Hirt Journalism Workshop.
The Workshop will take place from July 30 to Aug. 2 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The program focuses on students covering the Hambletonian, writing both advance and results pieces on deadline while being guided by media and industry professionals.
The session also offers pupils the opportunity to learn about harness racing.
The workshop is free of charge for students; USHWA will pay meals and housing, and the Delaware Valley chapter will cover travel expenses (up to $500).
