Published: April 1, 2016 12:35 am EDT

The Meadows Standardbred Owners Association will be hosting the third annual College Games at The Meadows Racetrack on Saturday, April 9.

Teams from several colleges around the region will be represented, taking part in various games of skill to earn money for their respective charities of choice. The MSOA has donated $2,000 to be divided among the winning teams for their various charities.

Games will include bowling in The Meadows Lanes, basketball, harness racing handicapping, kan jam and an obstacle course. Weather permitting, a 5/8 mile match race featuring a member of each of the top four teams, paired with a top Meadows driver and horse, will decide the championship.

All participants will receive a “swag bag” featuring gifts from the MSOA and the Washington Wild Things baseball team. Lunch will be provided by the MSOA.

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., and the games start at 12:45 p.m. First race post for the 15-race card that day will be 1:00 p.m.

Students must be 18 to participate, and teams will consist of five members.

For more information or to register in advance, contact the MSOA office at 724-228-3644 or e-mail [email protected].
