ORC Rules On Three Appeals

On Monday, March 5, the Ontario Racing Commission released its rulings in regard to appeals from horsemen Billy Davis Jr., Jay Polifroni and Lorne House

.

In regard to Billy Davis Jr., who was appealing a three-day driving suspension due to causing interference during a stretch drive, the ORC denied his appeal, but varied the suspension to two days. To view an official copy of the ruling, click here.

In regard to Jay Polifroni, the ORC denied his appeal. Polifroni was appealing a $200 fine for not having a horse to the Sudbury Downs paddock on time. To view an official copy of the ruling, click here.

In regard to Lorne House, the ORC denied his appeal, which was in reference to a December 2011 race in which a horse he was driving was placed back for causing interference, failing to lose ground while off-stride and gaining an advantage inside of the pylons.
