When the calendar turns to April, Harrah's Hoosier Park will add another day of the week to its weekly racing schedule with Wednesdays added to the rotation beginning on April 1.
With a first post of 5:30 p.m., the first Wednesday card is a 14-race program with 132 horses in the box. The evening features $10,000 guarantees in both the Late Pick 4 (races 11-14), as well as the Late Hoosier High 5 (race 14). Both pools offer an industry low takeout of 12 per cent and will have those $10,000 guarantees each Wednesday throughout the meet in partnership with the United States Trotting Association's Strategic Wagering program.
The Wednesday card also includes a pair of $12,500 USD divisions of the Chad E. Carlton Trotting Series for trotters that are non-winners of two races in the ninth and 11th races. This series is where On To Norway made his three-year-old debut in 2025, winning the first of what would be 23 consecutive races during his sophomore campaign.
With the addition of Wednesday racing, qualifiers on Wednesdays will now have a first post of 10 a.m. at Hoosier Park. Post time for qualifiers on Saturdays will remain noon until Saturday racing begins on May 2.
Free online programs are available for the Wednesday program on the "Racing" page of the Hoosier Park website at harrahshoosierpark.com, in addition to complimentary access to Hoosier Park race replays. Qualifier replays can be found on the Hoosier Park Racing AV YouTube channel.
Hoosier Park will race on a Wednesday through Friday schedule for the entirety of April, before adding Saturdays beginning in May as the track will transition to a four-day race week. First post daily is 5:30 p.m.
