On Thursday, March 31, the Ontario Racing Commission released its rulings in regard to appeals by horsemen Bob McClure, T. Bruce Gilkinson, Katie Gangell, Sue Marie Gangell and Callum Robinson. A ruling was also released on an appeal pertaining to OHHA/COSA.
Driver McClure and trainer Gilkinson had appealed the ORC’s decision to place the horse Regal Roxy. Their appeal was denied. To read an official copy of the ORC ruling, click here.
In Katie Gangell’s case, the ORC granted the appeal to allow a trainer transfer of the horse Passion Quizrace. To read an official copy of the ORC ruling, click here.
Sue Marie Gangell was granted an appeal by the ORC to have a fine reduced to $1,500 while serving a full suspension until July 1, 2016 in addition to a probationary period of two years due to positive tests with the horses F Twenty Two and Attaboyaaron.
