The 2011 book for American Ideal, a World Champion racehorse and Champion sire from his first crop, is now full and closed

, according to Brittany Stallion Management's Art Zubrod. American Ideal, who stands at Blue Chip Farms in New York, has serviced large books since he first entered the stud in 2007, and sends his largest foal crop (109) to the races this year.

"His first crop was very well-received at the yearling sales, as he ranked among the leaders in average and sold a colt for $200,000," said Zubrod. "Those horses really delivered as two-year-olds last year, so I can't say we're surprised by the response," he added. "He's a handsome horse who throws a great-looking foal, and now we all know they can go with the best."

American Ideal far and away ranks as the leading F2008 pacing sire with first-crop progeny earnings now approaching $2-million. He was also North American harness racing's overall leading percentage sire of 2:00 two-year-old pacers in 2010, with many of those freshmen taking their records over New York's half-mile tracks.

His first crop was led by Canada's O'Brien Award Winning filly Idyllic p,2,1:51 ($786,649), who won eight of nine starts including the $688,000 She's A Great Lady and $501,000 Three Diamonds. Her only loss came in the final of the Breeders Crown, after she had won her elim the previous week in 1:52. That first crop also included the elim winner of the $1-million Metro, Great Vintage p,2,1:50.4 ($189,253) and this year's Meadowlands late closer sweeper Some Girls Do p,3,1:52.1.
