Henri 'Ben' Carrière Passes

Trot Insider has learned that Henri 'Ben' Carrière, a longtime horseman and a regular fan at Rideau Carleton Raceway, passed away on Sunday, March 20 at the age of 89.

He was the son of the late Eugène Carrière and the late Eva Lagacé. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Fleurette Sigouin as well as his partner Carmen Boissonneault. He is survived by his daughter in law, Lise St-Laurent, his sisters Pauline and Marie-Luce and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was also predeceased by his sisters Therese, Pierrette, Jacqueline, Marie-Blanche, Suzanne and Teresa, his brothers Hormidas, Reginald and Laurentien, his sisters in laws and brothers in laws.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 29 at 2 p.m. at St-François-de-Sales 799, rue Jacques Cartier, Gatineau, Que. The family will receive condolences at 1:30 p.m.
