Joseph Terence "Joe" McCarthy of Peterborough, Ont. passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre in his 85th year.
Loving husband of Lynn McCool and father to Regena Collins (Ken). Dear Grandpa of Iain and Niall. Dear brother of Peter (Mary) McCarthy, Wayne (Nancy) McCarthy, Elaine (Bob) Pakenham and Jane Bagshaw (John d.). Predeceased by his parents Joe and Marguerite "Peg" McCarthy, his brother Jack (Lucy d.) McCarthy and sister Dolly (Lawrence d.) Foley. Brother-in-law to Elaine and Phillip Kolomitze, Jeanette Kerr, Garth Sleeman and Cheryl Pollack. Joe will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Joe was a printer for the Maxwell Review for over 30 years and enjoyed racing his horses at Kawartha Downs.
A Memorial Mass has already taken place.
