On Wednesday, April 2, Racing Under Saddle Ontario (RUS) will host an information session at Mohawk Racetrack in Campbellville.
The session is meant to encourage prospective owners, trainers, riders and sponsors to come out and learn more about Monte trotting.
The session will focus on several key topics, including events, purse structure, veterinary benefit to the horse, judging and equipment. The session will run from 4 - 6 p.m. RUS is hoping that all industry participants interested in racing their trotters this summer attend.
“Racing Under Saddle Ontario is committed to supporting and preserving our active and vibrant Standardbred industry,” said Julie Walker, president, Racing Under Saddle Ontario. “The information session will not only provide members of the racing community with an opportunity to network with peers, but it will also give them a chance to learn about some of the exciting projects RUS Ontario is focusing on and how they can use these projects to enhance their racing operations.”
RUS Ontario will also be hosting an information booth March 14 -16 at the All Equine Show at the Agriplex Building in London Ont. On Sunday March 16 at 10 a.m., the Standardbred will be front and centre in the ring to demonstrate its versatility. RUS Ontario in partnership with the South Western Ontario Standardbred Association will host an exciting display of Trotters Under Saddle, Driving, Western and English disciplines during this time.
