The Meadowlands Racetrack will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day all weekend long with beer, food and voucher drawings. Live harness racing will kick off at 7:15 p.m. both Friday and Saturday night.
On Friday, March 15, guests can enjoy the $29.95 Irish-themed buffet in Pink. Potato & leek soup, Irish soda bread, corned beer & cabbage and shepherd’s pie are menu highlights. Homemade shamrock cupcakes and brownies are a perfect sweet end to the night.
On Friday and Saturday guests have a chance to leave with a little more green in their pockets in the ‘Go Green for Greenbacks’ promotion. Every time a driver with green in his colours wins, two lucky fans will win $50 betting vouchers. Entry forms are available in the live racing program and at the Players Club Desk.
For those wanting more Irish-themed fare on Saturday, March 16, diners can enjoy the $39.95 St. Patrick’s buffet in Pink. The menu features hand-carved NY strip steak, Guinness battered cod & chips, corned beef & cabbage and shepherd’s pie.
