A winter storm along the east coast of the United States has caused four harness tracks to announce that their cards of live racing scheduled for Thursday, February 9 have been cancelled.
The Meadowlands Racetrack, Yonkers Raceway, Freehold Raceway and Monticello Raceway have each announced that they have cancelled their Thursday programs.
MEADOWLANDS RACETRACK AND WINNERS BAYONNE CLOSED DUE TO WINTER STORM
Due to the winter storm, the Meadowlands Racetrack and Winners Bayonne Off- Track Wagering will be closed today. Live racing at the Meadowlands is cancelled and all simulcasting at both properties will not be offered.
Both properties are scheduled to reopen Friday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m.
The Thursday live racing program, including the pair of Dash For The G-Notes series finals, will be carried over in its entirety to next Thursday, February 16 (pending regulatory approval).
Live racing and qualifiers will resume Friday as previously scheduled.

YONKERS CANCELS THURSDAY LIVE RACING, ALL SIMULCASTING
The greater New York area’s first major snowstorm of the season has forced Yonkers Raceway to cancel its racing program for tonight (Thursday, Feb. 9). It’s the first cancellation of the season.
Evening simulcasting has also been cancelled, taking the lead from their afternoon mates, scrapped after Aqueduct called off its program.
Live racing (first post 7:10 PM) and all simulcasting are scheduled to resume Friday (Feb. 10).
