Trot Insider will be updating the Saturday cancellations notice as announcements come in, with two tracks cancelling live cards as of 10:30 a.m.
Freehold Raceway announced that live racing scheduled for Saturday, February 9 had been cancelled due to the winter storm which dropped eight inches of snow in the area. Simulcasting will continue as scheduled. Live racing will resume on Thursday, February 14 with first race post set for 12:30 p.m.
Due to the lingering effects of the winter storm which hit Westchester County and the greater New York area, Yonkers Raceway has cancelled live racing (and all simulcasting) for Saturday (Feb. 9).
Live racing (and evening simulcasting) is scheduled to resume Monday night (Feb. 11), with first post at 7:10 p.m.
Horsemen are again reminded that a Yonkers double-draw for next Thursday/Friday (Feb. 14 & 15) takes place Monday (Feb. 11). Entry box for both days closes at 4 p.m.
The Meadowlands Racetrack and Winners Bayonne will open at 12 noon for day and night simulcasting and will proceed with its Saturday card. Live racing at the Meadowlands kicks off at 7:15 p.m. Admission for tonight's card is free.
The draw for Thursday's live race card will take place today at 4 p.m. as scheduled.
Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park and Red Shores Summerside are closed today due to a winter storm hitting Prince Edward Island and the Maritime region.
