Harness raceway Running Aces has launched a new campaign dubbed 'Minnesota Budget Jackpot' in attempt to get racino gaming legalized for the state's two
racetracks, the other being Canterbury Park for thoroughbreds.
The website for the campaign states that "Adding slots to the gaming mix at Minnesota’s two existing state-regulated gaming facilities will raise millions of dollars in additional tax revenue every year while creating thousands of new jobs and spurring hundreds of millions in additional economic development."
Former Senator Dick Day is the figurehead of the other pro-racino push in the state, 'Racino Now,' which is also seeking alternative gaming at state raceways.
