Longtime harness racing fan and participant Elmer Jorgensen of London, Ont. passed away on January 28, 2015 in his 82nd year.

Elmer had a long and distinguished career with 3M for over 35 years. After his retirement, his hobby of gardening flourished, and he grew thousands of bulbs. Later in life he developed a second passion for harness racing, becoming an owner of Standardbreds.

Elmer was predeceased by his first wife Carol (nee Cowper, 1964), his second wife Elaine (nee Campbell, 1982) and his sister Iris. It is with great sadness that Marilyn Kading says good bye to her longtime companion, friend, and soul mate of 25 short years. Elmer is survived by his children Ken (Beverley), Karen Vanstone, Ron (Sophie), Susan (Scott) Murray and Anne Campbell, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received for an open house at Needham Funeral Service, 520 Dundas St., London, on Thursday, February 5 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Lung Association or a charity of choice. Online condolences can be left at needhamfuneralhome.com.
