Dr. Amy Gerber Passes

Dr. Amy L. Gerber, VMD, of Jackson, NJ, passed away on Monday, February 15 at the age of 65.

Dr. Gerber worked for the State of New Jersey as senior veterinarian at Freehold Raceway for more than 25 years. She was an active member of the Jackson Township Chapter of the Lyme Disease Association.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, she lived in Lakewood before moving to Jackson in 1987.

She is survived by her stepsons, Matthew and Christopher Manger; brother, Charles; sister-in-law, Denise; nephews, Jori and Davin; longtime companion, Kevin Manger; cousins, Felice Katz, Peter Dissin and Dr. Jonathan Dissin; and her dear friend, Nancy Modiano.

A memorial gathering will be held to celebrate her life on Thursday (February 25) from 6-9 p.m. at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River.
